FC Dallas 3, Galaxy 1 -- quote sheet

FC DALLAS 3, LOS ANGELES GALAXY 1

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH STEVE MORROW

On the game:
"Very pleased with the win. I think it was a good team effort in the end. I thought we were always dangerous offensively. We had a few little problems in the first half; after going one-nil up I thought we got a little bit stretched defensively and gave them a little too much room to play. But we talked about that at halftime, and for the most part got that sorted out. I think the boys very much deserved the win."

On learning Kenny Cooper broke his right tibia:
"I feared the worst when I saw and heard the tackle. I heard a huge crack and I was hoping it was just a shin guard. I feared the worst. Kenny's a guy that fights through those things and I knew it was serious when he couldn't continue. So, its takes the shine off a good night for us and a good win. The thoughts of all the players right now are with Kenny. We're obviously devastated for him and it's a big loss for the whole team as well."

On Juan Toja playing the offensive midfielder role:
"It's something that I've had in mind and wanted to try. I think getting Juan in those positions, it suits his game. He's very strong on the ball and able to find gaps. We can get the ball in to him with people tight on him and he's very strong as you saw. I thought over 90 minutes he was magnificent and its something we can look at again."

FC DALLAS FORWARD ABE THOMPSON

On his goal:
"I'm excited and happy to be contributing. I'm just trying to keep doing what I have been doing. Hopefully, I can keep contributing goals and assists."

On the penalty kick:
"That's how I always take them. I saw (Joe) Cannon going the other way and it was just a matter of keeping it on frame on the other side. There was no doubt in my mind whatsoever. My last one was in an Open Cup game against D.C. United my rookie year. It's been a while."

On Morrow's halftime talk:
"We were disappointed with how we ended the (first) half because we started well. We came in here and Steve (Morrow) yelled at us to make sure that we come out with guns blazing in the second half and get the win. With this home game sandwiched in between three road games, it was important for us to get three points."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY MIDFIELDER KYLE MARTINO

On the game:
"We're having a rough stretch right now. It seems like everyone has that attitude when someone scores first or we miss some good chances, it's like here we go again. We have some confidence issues and are doubting that we're a good team right now. Everyone is disappointed. We need to try and find some positives this week in training to bring that attitude and that bite that wasn't there tonight for everyone. We have to make sure at the end of the game, regardless of the result, that everyone gave their all and I don't think we can say that after this match."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY MIDFIELDER SANTINO QUARANTA

On the Galaxy's play:
"I think we have to look at ourselves and figure out what we need to do because this just isn't good enough. Hopefully, we can figure it out. We're in a tough predicament right now. Everybody needs to look in the mirror right now and figure out what we need to do"

On whether the Galaxy is low in confidence:
"I don't know if our confidence is shaken. We're just not good enough right now. I don't know what it is, but we have to figure it out."
