FC DALLAS 2, KANSAS CITY WIZARDS 1

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS HEAD COACH CURT ONALFO

On third 90th-minute goal of the season:
"It shows we have good team fitness as well as lots of character. Two goals came when we were down so it also shows we never give up. Those are all positive signs for our team. If you watch the game you will see we played a very strong second half tonight, and we will have lots to build on for next game. We certainly created enough chances to tie the game, or possibly even win it, but we fell a little short tonight and will have to go back to the drawing board for the next game."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS MIDFIELDER DAVY ARNAUD

On his attacking play:
"That is just how it goes when you are down 2-0 at halftime. I had to come and make some stuff happen even more than usual because we had to get back into the game."

On team's effort:
"The effort in the first half just wasn't good enough. We know that and we talked about it at halftime. We were a little too complacent and we got punished for it in the first half. In the second half we played a lot harder, but it was just one of those days that the ball didn't want to go in for us."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS MIDFIELDER MICHAEL HARRINGTON

On 90th-minute goal:
"We got a free kick out wide and Davy whipped one in as I peeled my run off of the defender. I got a head to it just trying to get it on goal, and fortunately it found the side netting."

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH STEVE MORROW

On the game:
"I thought it was a good team performance. We defended well when we had to. If I'm going to be critical, I thought we could have kept the ball better at times. They put us under a lot of pressure the first 10-15 minutes of the game, but for the rest of the first half and for periods of the game we moved the ball well. I thought we could have done a better job overall of moving the ball and keeping possession, and I think we could have created even more chances. We showed in short spells of how we can play, and how we can move the ball. They put us under a lot of pressure in the second half but I thought we defended well for the most part."

On the play of Carlos Ruiz:
"He did a good job when he came on. I wanted him to come on and hold the ball. Kenny (Cooper) work hard for the first hour of the game, and I though he got a bit tired and his touch started to go a little bit and I thought it made sense to get Carlos on. For him to help us as a team, hold the ball, I thought he did well."

On the play of the back line:
"I thought they did well defensively. Eddie Johnson and [Yura] Movsisyan both played very well and were a big test for us tonight, and Davy Arnaud played well too. I thought it was a really big test for the back four, and I was really disappointed to not get a clean sheet to be honest. I thought our defensive performance over 90 minutes deserved a clean sheet."

On Pablo Ricchetti:
"I thought he did very well, and I think he's a long way away from full fitness. It's his first game for us and he hasn't played for a couple of months and I think he showed what a good player he's going to be. He's very good in possession, passed the ball well at times for us, and I think he's only going to get better when he gets more fit. I think he held his own. I didn't expect him to play 90 minutes in his first game, and I even questioned whether I would start him or leave him on the bench tonight. He's a naturally fit guy and wanted to play 90 minutes and I thought he got through it well."

On Abe Thompson:
"I lot of credit to Abe Thompson. We know what he gives us and he's deserved his chance cause he's worked very, very hard at practice and in reserve games as well. Every time we play him we know what we're going to get, he's very reliable, he works very, very hard for the team, and he holds the ball up very well for us. I'm just very pleased for him because he deserved his chance and he took it well."

On Dario Sala:
"He came up with some great saves. That's what we've come to expect of Dario. At times when you need your goalkeeper to come up big and make big saves, he did it for us tonight. I thought he made three or four really, really big saves and kept us in the game."

FC DALLAS GOALKEEPER DARIO SALA

On the difference in this game:
"The attitude. You can see in every 50/50 ball. We won every 50/50, every second ball, every rebound - everybody was running, giving 150 percent. It has to be that way in order to win. And we won together, like we said before the game. We were compact in the middle, at forward, all three lines - even me and the good communication with the defense. It was a great result and I'm very excited."
