Houston Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis is in California for training camp with the United States men's national team. He is sending his thoughts and experiences back to you via houstondynamo.com. Check back for updates!

Hello All-

I Hope everyone is doing well. We are finally down to our last day of camp and last two-a-day after being out here for an entire month. I didn't think it was possible but I am actually sick of video games. I feel like someone should smack me for saying that.

Anyway, Eddie, Rico, and I are still doing very well and very excited to come home! We are hoping to get the opportunity to play against Mexico and just waiting for the decisions to be made final. No matter what happens we have had a great time out here and look forward to getting home and representing the Dynamo for the U.S. or finally joining the team, seeing the guys and getting our season rolling.

We would also like to thank everyone for there support, as we really appreciate it. Hope to see everyone at the big game on Feb. 6th at Reliant!! GO USA/DYNAMO!

All The Best,
Brad

Hey Dynamo Fans!

Eddie,Rico, and I are back in camp here in LA after getting a couple of days off since our victory over Sweden. How about Eddie getting his first cap and his first goal for the U.S. all in the same night.

By the way, he scored with his foot and not his head which is pretty amazing in itself!! As everyone knows, he totally deserved that opportunity and he came through. It was pretty neat to be there and be a part of that night with him.

As far as this camp goes we are continuing to work hard and doing two-a-days. We are still working on our shape and doing pattern movements to try and better our attack. We will be out here until Feb.3 when the team will then make its way to Houston for the game against Mexico on Feb.6 at Reliant Stadium. Hopefully we can make that squad so we can represent the Dynamo once again.

We would also like to send out our best wishes to Stu and Pat once again as they continue their journey of making the Olympic Team!! It sounds like they're working hard over there in Bradenton as they play their pickup basketball games. Stu, were you planning on using those "hidden skills" you talked about or what? Obviously not since your team didn't win a single game. Haha!! I do want to know how intense the MEATBALL (Pat Ianni) was. He had to have elbowed someone or at least jumped up and tried to headbutt the rim. Hahahahaha!!!!

This last comment comes from when the team spent a little time at "The Ranch." The rest of that story can come at a later date. It's hilarious.

Anyways, I hope everyone is as excited as we are about this upcoming year because we can't wait to get home to see all the guys and get the Dynamo season rolling. Talk to you in a couple of days.

All The Best,
Brad

Hey Everyone!

The camp is coming to an end! It is going to be sad to leave because the amount of video games Eddie and I got to play was ridiculous. I'm not kidding you when I say that Eddie has played this video game called "Mass Effect" for 12 hours in the last three days. Literally, 12 hours! Insane!

Also, I got a call from Chingy because he was upset that I threw him under the bus with my comments about the buffet line in my first blog, which is relatively unfair given that Eddie is actually the chubbiest guy on the team. So there you go, Chingy, I hope that makes you feel better. I don't know what you are complaining about, since you are probably drinking Mai Tais and soaking up the sun on one of the islands in Hawaii! Must be rough to be Brian Ching. Ha.

As far as the soccer part goes, we are having our last meeting this evening in preparation for our game against Sweden. We have played a lot of 11v11 the past couple of days with mixed teams and are still unsure of who is going to be starting or who is even on the 18-man roster. I'm sure we will find out tomorrow, so wish us luck! Also, Eddie, Rico and I found out that we will be invited back in for the Mexico camp that starts on the 24th, which ends with the game against Mexico on February 6th at Reliant Stadium!

Anyway, Eddie, Rico, and I would like to thank all you fans for your support and for keeping up with what has been going on here over the past couple of weeks.

We really appreciate it. I'll be sure to get some more blogs out during the next camp as well.

Thanks again,
Brad

P.S. Pat Ianni is a MEATBALL and Stuart Holden has a TINY HEAD with great HIGHLIGHTS in his hair. NOT JOKING!

P.S.S. Stuart also goes to a tanning salon at least once a week! NOT JOKING!

P.S.S.S Hope you guys are doing well and I will see you soon. HAHA.

First of all, I just want to say "Thank God" for the video game "Rock Band"! That is the only thing that has kept myself, Eddie and some of the guys sane. We have had some pretty intense sessions rocking out. I can play a plastic guitar with the best of them, while Eddie goes insane on the drums.

For all of you out there that think Eddie is a real tough guy, you should hear how high he can get his voice when he really wants to sing!

As far as Rico goes, that kid could literally sleep for an entire day if he wanted to. He is a freak when it comes to sleep. Every time you ask him what he did for the day he replies, "Uh, I don't know, man. I slept for a while and then just chilled."

As a matter of fact, those of you who know Rico know he says that line, word for word, all the time.

As far as camp goes Eddie, Rico and I have survived the two-a-days, fitness, and the heart monitors. We have been wearing these heart monitors that collect info about our fitness levels while we play. All of us seem to be right on track.

As I said before, We finished two-a-days yesterday and we have Monday off. Apparently, it is the first day off that the national team has had since Bob Bradley has been at the helm! The team has come together very well this past week, and everyone has finally been able to get their legs underneath them. We have continued the intense practices working on shape and transitioning from offense to defense. We will really start keying in and watching video on Sweden starting Tuesday night.

Thank you all for your support! Be back soon,

Brad

What's up, everyone?

Hope all you fans in Houston are still enjoying the fact that you have another MLS Cup in your pocket ... because I know we are!

Camp has been very intense this past week as we have been battling through two-a-days since we arrived last Thursday. The coaching staff has been pushing us pretty hard in preparation to our game against Sweden on January 19.

The good thing about this camp is the fact that everyone has been able to recover and eat well, mainly because Brian Ching isn't first in the buffet line everyday, eating all the food before everyone else gets the chance to sample the goods.

Also, Stuart and Pat, I hope you guys are doing well and working hard. Stu, I know you get on the Dynamo website everyday just to look at yourself and see if there is a new picture of you ;-). I hope all is well, and I will talk to everyone again in a couple of days.

All The Best-
Brad
