Dynamo's Clark Relishes Opportunity

It was one of those things that happen once in a lifetime for Dynamo midfielder Ricardo Clark: playing for the US Men's National Team in front of a sold-out crowd in his hometown.

"It was great," said Clark. "Just seeing all those people out there representing the US and Mexico felt really good. Unfortunately we didn't win the game, but I'm sure the fans enjoyed themselves."

Clark played a total of 79 minutes in the 2-2 stalemate before being subbed in by Maurice Edu. Despite the fact that he had a discreet performance, the memory of playing this game in front of the second-largest soccer crowd in the history of the State of Texas (70,103 fans) will remain with him for many years to come.

"What we saw tonight is great for the game and for (Houston). The games between Mexico and the US are always special, but this one really stands out because it was at home and I was in it. Hopefully my game will continue to grow so that I can keep on playing with the National Team."

Up next for Clark is the Houston Dynamo regular season, something he has been looking forward to for quite some time now.

"Yeah, it's been a long time coming," said Clark. "I just want to go out there and contribute. Hopefully, the remaining two games of my suspension won't seem too long before I am able to return to the playing field."
