The Dynamo U-18 has hit stride at the perfect time, with a 5-0 shutout over the Chicago Magic in the semifinal of the prestigious Dallas Cup.
The younger set in orange played to a scoreless first half, then tallied five unanswered goals in the second half. Josue Soto started the Dynamo scoring in the 58th minute after converting a penalty kick.
Alan Cuevas made it 2-0 in the 64th minute, and Christian Cruz added two more. The Dynamo will now play IMG of Bradenton, Florida, in the title game Sunday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas. Kick off is at 3 p.m.
