"I really wasn't expecting it," said Cameron. "It's a big relief to be selected in the draft, but it is also a great satisfaction to be selected by a championship team. I am looking forward to starting my career under the supervision of Dominic Kinnear and his staff."

"He is a good running midfielder. (Cameron) is athletic, and is strong with the ball. He is exactly the type of player we are looking for," said Dynamo Head Coach Dominic Kinnear.

Houston opens the 2008 regular season on Saturday, March 29, against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium. The Dynamo will open its home schedule on Sunday, April 6, against intrastate rival FC Dallas. Kickoff for this game is 2 p.m. CT.
