Dynamo Reserves win 5-2 vs. Galaxy Reserves

HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo reserves got their third and final victory of the season tonight, closing the 2007 Reserve Season against the Los Angeles Galaxy reserves, beating them 5-2 at Robertson Stadium.

Houston started the game on the offensive, scoring its first goal of the game at the 22nd minute, off of an assist by Ricardo Clark from the right side of the field.

Once the second half got underway, the Galaxy evened up the score at the 50th minute of play, thanks to a beautiful free kick taken by Johnny Brown from approximately 20 yards out. The Dynamo, however, got back on top, with another beautiful goal of their own, this one courtesy of Chris Wondolowski. "Diesel" put in a violent kick to Friesz's upper right corner for the 2-1 advantage. Wondolowski was not done, however, and would score his ninth goal of the season and second of the evening with a solid header off a great pass by Brad Davis at the 64th minute.

Paul Dalglish closed the door on the Galaxy, with a great individual play down the left wing for his first goal of the year at the 70th minute.

Los Angeles would score its second goal of the match at the 86th minute, off a corner kick by Israel Sesay. Mike Caso would finish the play with a solid header.

Brad Davis also contributed for the Men in Orange, scoring the fifth goal of the night on a 1-on-1 with Lance Friesz at the 90th minute of play. Davis would put the ball in the goal's upper left corner with a hard kick.

With the 5-2 win, the Dynamo finish the 2007 Reserve season with a 3-5-2 record. The Galaxy, on the other hand, now have a 2-5-2 record with one game to play. That contest will be on Saturday, October 13, against Toronto FC.
