Dynamo playoff schedule set

The Houston Dynamo will open the MLS playoffs against FC Dallas on Saturday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m. CT. The first game of the Western Conference Semifinal will be played at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, with the second game of the aggregate-goal series to be played at the University of Houston's Robertson Stadium on Friday, November 2, at 7:30 p.m. Game one of the series was set immediately after the conclusion of MLS regular season play today.


The Dynamo finished in second place in the MLS Western Conference after a 0-0 draw against Chivas USA Saturday night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The Dynamo finished the regular season 15-8-7 (52 points), one point behind Chivas. FC Dallas finished in third place in the conference, 13-12-5 (44 points).


The Dynamo won the 2007 season series against FC Dallas 3-0-1, winning 2-1 in Houston June 3, playing to a 0-0 draw June 30 in Frisco, then winning 1-0 August 19 in Houston before concluding the series with a 3-0 win September 30 at Pizza Hut Park. The upcoming playoff appearance in Frisco is a return to the venue where the Dynamo won the MLS Cup Championship against New England last November.


Saturday night's opener will be televised on HDNet and broadcast on 850AM and 101.7FM.
