Dynamo to honor scouts, establish scholarship

Houston Dynamo will continue the club's strong support of Boy Scouts of America with a series of partnership programs in the Houston area.

First is Boy Scout Night on June 3 at Robertson Stadium, when Dynamo host in-state rival FC Dallas. Game time is 4 p.m. CT. Troops from around the area will be honored and will present flags during pregame ceremonies.

A special group of tickets, available on houstondynamo.com, will be sold at a discounted rate to the general public. Seats that are normally $18 will now be sold at $16, with $2 from each ticket to be donated to a scholarship fund in honor of the late Sean Michael DuBose. DuBose was the son of Dynamo senior account executive Judy DuBose. Sean, an exemplary member of the Boy Scouts and an ROTC, was an Eagle Scout from Baytown.

Judy DuBose will speak to Boy Scouts about her son's life and the impact of scouting on April 28 at the annual Boy Scout Fair at Reliant Arena at 11 a.m. CT.

"Sean was really dedicated to Scouts," said DuBose. "I'm so grateful my Dynamo family has honored Sean and scouting in this way."

The Fair runs from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. and includes members and activities on behalf of the Sam Houston Area Council.
