HOUSTON, TX - The defending MLS Cup champions are looking to add new faces to its already talented group of Dynamo Girls.
The Dynamo Girls, which since 2007 have added a new entertainment aspect to the team's game day experience, will continue to serve as ambassadors for the club in the community.
Leading the Girls for the second-straight season will be Marilu Amador Harman, a former dancer for the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, who directed and created the Houston Rockets Power Dancers.
"The Dynamo Girls is definitely a group the franchise is proud of," said Harman. "There's a great opportunity for this portion of the team to increase the popularity it obtained last year. Just like last season, this year we are looking to have a high degree of talent."
Tryouts for the group are set for February 16 and 17, at 24 Hour Fitness, 6425 San Felipe St., Houston, TX 77057. More details are at www.houstondynamo.com
Media is invited to attend the tryouts on Saturday the 16th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Dynamo, meanwhile, will kick off its regular season on the road on Saturday, March 29, against the New England Revolution. The Men in Orange will open their 2008 home schedule on Sunday, April 6, against intrastate rival FC Dallas at 2:00 p.m. CT.
