Postgame Notes

• Chivas de Guadalajara improved to 2-0 in SuperLiga 2008 with a 1-0 victory on a 71st-minute goal by forward Omar Arellano.

• Chivas goalkeeper Luis Ernesto Michel recorded six saves to earn the shutout. Michel made more saves in the second half (four) than Houston goalkeeper Pat Onstad made in the game (three).

• For Houston, the 1-0 loss was its first ever home loss in international competition, dropping the Dynamo's home international record to 6-1-3.

• The crowd of 28,723 was the fourth largest for a Dynamo game at Robertson Stadium, trailing only last year's three consecutive sellouts of more than 30,000. • • The crowd was the second largest in SuperLiga's two-year history, trailing only the 37,337 that saw Chivas beat the Los Angeles Galaxy 2-1 on July 28, 2007.

• The game included 27 fouls (15 HOU, 12 GUA) and seven yellow cards (3 HOU, 4 GUA). Neither team, however, had a player pick up a second yellow card of the tournament, which would have led to a suspension.

• The Dynamo played without starters Eddie Robinson (ankle sprain), Richard Mulrooney (knee swelling), Brian Ching (abdominal strain), Stuart Holden (groin strain), and Dwayne De Rosario (suspension).
