Dynamo DF Robinson suspended, fined

The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee today fined Houston Dynamo defender Eddie Robinson $1,000 and suspended him three (3) games for violent conduct during the Dynamo's game versus the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday, April 12.

Robinson was involved in a physical confrontation with Wizards defender Tyson Wahl in the 47th minute of the match. No foul was whistled on the play, but the MLS Disciplinary Committee decided that the incident involved unnecessary contact of an egregious nature by Robinson to Wahl's head, which constitutes a red card offense.

The three-game suspension shall be served by Robinson during the Dynamo's games on April 19 versus the Los Angeles Galaxy, April 26 versus the Columbus Crew and May 3 versus Chivas USA.
