Dynamo 1, Red Bulls 1 -- quote sheet

HOUSTON DYNAMO 1, NEW YORK RED BULLS 1

HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On the game's red cards:
"After the red cards we went to three defenders in the back and they switched to four in the back, so it was one team trying to win the game and one team trying to hold on."

On the team's recent play:
"We are 8-4-8, but I think that the way we are playing it's like how many games can you play that we aren't coming out on top when you are doing everything to win the game?"

On Wednesday's U.S. Open Cup game with the Carolina Dynamo:
"It's a dangerous game. I think that if you go in with the wrong intentions like trying to rest players instead of playing the game to win it, you run the risk of getting caught up."

HOUSTON DYNAMO FORWARD BRIAN CHING

On the game:
"It is really frustrating when we dominate the play for almost the entire game and it takes them scoring on us to give us that real sense of urgency."

On the team's offensive problems:
"We have had the opportunities, but it seems that they just aren't falling for us right now. I have to be patient and find something to get me back in the swing of things."

On playing the Carolina Dynamo:
"It will be good for us to get back on streak of playing well before we head into the All-Star break."

On playing the Galaxy in Reliant Stadium:
"It should be a great game with a great crowd; I am really looking forward to playing in Reliant since it is such a beautiful stadium."

HOUSTON DYNAMO DEFENDER EDDIE ROBINSON

On the last two games:
"We're frustrated. It's now two games in a row that we have played the other team out of the park but things just don't fall in our favor."

On the team's recent results:
"We aren't use to losing, so I think that it sometimes takes going down a goal or some type of big play to give us that sense of urgency."

On playing the Carolina Dynamo:
"I think Wednesday night will be a good chance for this team to gain a little confidence before the all star break. It won't be a walk in the park by any means, but it is a game that we could and should win."

NEW YORK RED BULLS INTERIM HEAD COACH RICHIE WILLIAMS

On the result:
"Yeah [it's a good result]. Obviously this is a tough place to play. Houston is a good team. To come in and get a point is a good result."

On the accomplishments in the last four games:
"I think it's just been solid all around. Defensively we've been very good. When the other teams are getting in the final third we're defending very well. We're not just giving up bad goals like we have been. Everyone's just been stepping it up and giving more effort."

On the game:
"It was a little hectic there in the second half, but we hung in there. They were putting on the pressure there in the end. Henderson got the goal, but unfortunately we gave up a penalty about thirty seconds later."

NEW YORK RED BULLS GOALKEEPER JON CONWAY

On the team's performance:
"In the first half they were coming at us pretty strong, but we were able to hold them off. I thought we were pretty good defensively. We got a goal early [in the second half], however right after the goal we gave up a penalty kick. They're by far the best team in the league from front to back so coming down here and getting the draw is a big accomplishment for us.

On playing against his former team:
"Yeah it's great. Obviously coming down to play against your old buddies is great. I was hoping we'd get the win, but the draw is good enough."

On saving Ching's header:
"He didn't know where I came from so I just looked up and said 'not tonight buddy'. When we would practice it was just a constant banter with all those guys, so that's what made it fun for me. Again, they're by far the best team in the league so to get a draw tonight is a good way to keep us on our run."

NEW YORK RED BULLS MIDFIELDER CHRIS HENDERSON

On his goal:
"Yeah it was a great ball through by Amado [Guevara]. I wanted to stay onside. It's a little disappointing that we weren't a little tighter in the next minute. I actually should've had two tonight. I had a great chance in the first half."

On the accomplishments in previous games:
"The team's confidence is high, especially after coming in here after three wins and three shutouts. It's tough to come down here and play, but I think the spirit of the group is good. The guys are working hard for each other under tough conditions."

On Red Bull's upcoming break:
"We still have Wednesday night [for the] U.S. Open Cup. I think that's something that we can go far in so we have to focus there. I think this time in the year it's probably good to get a break, but then we've got D.C. [United] so that will be a big challenge for us."
