Dynamo 0, Galaxy 0 -- quote sheet

HOUSTON DYNAMO 0, LOS ANGELES GALAXY 0

HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On team play:
"We represented ourselves well in CONCACAF and tonight we finished the game well and gained a point with 10 players."

HOUSTON DYNAMO FORWARD BRIAN CHING

His perspective:
"We came back from Pachuca with a sense of pride and now after gaining a point we are looking forward to getting back to our regular routine."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY HEAD COACH FRANK YALLOP

On getting a point to open the season:
"I was really happy with the performance of the guys. We created some real clear-cut chances that we maybe didn't take, but that will come in the season when we get a little more game savvy. Really with the chances we created we should've scored a goal, and that's encouraging and will lead to good things this season."

On Findley:
"He's got that change of pace that teams don't like to play against. He came on and looked dangerous like he wanted to make a difference in the game, and I like that."

On the environment:
"They just raised their championship banner and we had a good start to the game. As the game worn on I felt comfortable that we wouldn't concede a goal. Joe [Cannon] had a good game in goal. It was a good all-around team performance that could've maybe squeaked into a win, but we'll take the tie to start the season."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY GOALKEEPER JOE CANNON

On the game:
"I'm happy about the clean sheet. I thought the whole team had a good effort and played great defensively. Houston's a tough team to play, especially in Houston. I don't think we gave them much to look at tonight. My performance was pretty easy. I just had to clean up some things."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY MIDFIELDER TY HARDEN

On his first career appearance:
"It was exciting. For me, today is the day I've been dreaming of since I was little, so today was like a dream come true for me. It was really fun and exciting. There was a great crowd here in Houston."
