Dynamo 0, Chivas USA 0 -- quote sheet

HOUSTON DYNAMO 0, CHIVAS USA 0

HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On the game:
"Obviously it's disappointing. You come in looking for three points. We had a lot of guys going forward tonight and their final touches were missing a little bit. You give Chivas some credit for defending well."

On Paul Dalglish:
"He started off pretty good. He was pretty dangerous on the right hand side. I think he was a little surprised when the ball fell his way. He gave them problems, and ran at them in the first half. I think he started off pretty good with us."

On the standings:
"We looked at the standing yesterday, it's a little bit tighter. You have a team here that whatever way the result goes it could be a difference in the standings. They bunkered in with 10 [men] and defended well."

HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER PAUL DALGLISH

On starting his first game in Houston:
"It was great to get my home debut. I was a little disappointed with the way it started. I'm just trying to get used to the heat."

On his performance:
"I was a bit disappointed with the first 15 or 20 minutes. I should've scored in the first five minutes. After that I thought I settled down."

On the difference in playing MLS:
"It's a lot slower because of the heat. It's probably a lot less physical. I'm just really looking forward to the challenge, and hopefully things can go well for me."

HOUSTON DYNAMO GOALKEEPER PAT ONSTAD

On the game:
"We came out in the first half a little nervous. We were a little tentative at home. In the second half we just couldn't take advantage of it against 10 men. We're a little disappointed we didn't come out with three points."

On the five-game road trip:
"I think that was very disappointing for us. We only got one win out of that and four points total. We blew a few games that we think we should've gotten points out of. We're still in the race for it, we just have to get some wins and hopefully get a win in Columbus."

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH OB BRADLEY

On the game:
"It took a very good effort by everybody to play down a man for 30 minutes. I think we stayed organized. I'm disappointed. The key was the mentality of the group, and I think it's getting stronger. Four points on this road trip was very good by all the players. Our team continues to get confidence. The mentality continues to get stronger and I think we sensed that there are better things to come."

CHIVAS USA MIDFIELDER JESSE MARSCH

On the game:
"I still have a lot of respect for Houston's team because they fight so hard; they are 11 guys who play really hard. But I'm really happy with our performance. I felt like we created chances, we stayed organized; we didn't give up many chances, even when we were a man down, I still felt like we had a way of making it hard on them. I still thought when we were a man down we were going to get the win."

On the Texas road trip:
"It was a playoff atmosphere for sure, I mean the intensity was there. It's getting that time of the year. Four points on a two-game road trip I think it's pretty darn good. We just now have to get ready to win some games at home."

CHIVAS USA DEFENDER TIM REGAN

On getting ready for playoffs:
"I think we're on a good run right now, we keep it going. We get a home game, and the Super Clasico; so it should be a good couple of weeks."
