D.C. United to face Charleston Battery in Cary Cup II

Washington, D.C. - D.C. United announced today the team will play the Charleston Battery in a friendly match at SAS Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. on June 14. The game, tabbed as 'Cary Cup II,' will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET.


    "We are pleased to be returning to Cary for this friendly," said United Technical Director Dave Kasper. "We enjoyed our experience last summer. The fans were terrific and we look forward to another great evening of soccer against the Charleston Battery." </p>


    Last year in the inaugural Cary Cup, the Black-and-Red defeated the Rochester Raging Rhinos in a thrilling 3-2 match. Jamil Walker notched three goals, but the Rhinos notched two in the final 13 minutes to make the game interesting. </p>
