CARSON, Calif. - The Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation's Fifth Annual "Day on Links" Golf Outing, played on Monday, October 9 at Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach, California, approximately raised $30,000.

The event's proceeds will benefit many of the Galaxy Foundation's community outreach endeavors, such as its annual Foundations' Feast and Holiday Assist Program, which enables the foundation to make the holidays a little brighter and more enjoyable for children in need. Additionally, a portion of the funds will be used to aid the Galaxy's adopted school in building a new library.

All those participating in the event were placed in foursomes with Galaxy players, coaches and select front office members, including Lalas.

The TRL Systems team led by Galaxy forward Landon Donovan shot the lowest net round of the day, and were awarded PING putters. Meanwhile, the team captained by defenders Ugo Ihemelu and Troy Roberts had the highest net score.

But, in the end, it was the Foundation and the children it benefits that walked away the biggest winner, through tournament entry fees, raffle tickets and a silent auction.

The Galaxy Foundation wishes to thank all those who participated in the event and extend a great deal of gratitude to the members of the corporate community for their assistance in presenting the event.
