Dario Sala out 2-3 weeks with injury

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas goalkeeper Dario Sala has been ruled of out action for two-three weeks with a right calf strain. The Argentine-keeper initially injured his calf on Sept. 16 in FC Dallas' 3-2 loss at Real Salt Lake, but went on to play the entire game. After sitting out the Sept. 23 home win versus RSL, he returned to the practice field but re-injured his calf during the Sept. 27 training session and was not available for selection for Dallas' game at Columbus game on Sept. 30.

Shaka Hislop has played the past two games in goal for FCD, posting a 1-1-0 record. A 14-year veteran of English soccer, Hislop was signed by FC Dallas in July 2006 after starring for Trinidad and Tobago in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.

At the time of his injury, Sala had started the first 28 games for FC Dallas and was tied for the league-lead with 14 wins.

FC Dallas hosts the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. CT in the last regular season home game of the year. The teams meet again a week later in Los Angeles in the season finale.

FCD has already clinched a berth in the 2006 MLS Cup Playoffs and will host the return leg of the Western Conference Semifinal Series on October 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Pizza Hut Park versus a yet to be determined team. With a win on Saturday against L.A., Dallas will finish first in the Western Conference for the first time in team history, thus clinching home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
