Crew's new English radio home is News/Talk 610 WTVN

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Crew, in conjunction with Clear Channel Columbus Radio, announced today that News/Talk 610 WTVN is the club's new English-language radio home. All 30 regular-season Crew games and every Crew playoff match will be broadcast live on News/Talk 610 WTVN beginning on Saturday, March 29, at 4 p.m. (ET), with the season opener against Toronto FC at Crew Stadium. A 15-minute pregame show will precede each game broadcast.

"Clear Channel Columbus is an industry leader and valued partner," said Chad Schroeder, the Crew's VP of Corporate Sales and Broadcasting. "We are extremely excited about our new radio home and three-year partnership with News/Talk 610 WTVN."

Neil Sika, entering his third season, will serve as the primary radio play-by-play announcer for the Crew. Sika has been the "Voice of Ohio State Hockey" for the last six seasons and served in the same capacity for Ohio State baseball in 2004-05. He will again be joined by Ohio State men's soccer head coach John Bluem, who will handle color commentary duties for home radio broadcasts. Dwight Burgess, the original "Voice of the Crew," will serve as the Crew's primary television play-by-play announcer for all local TV broadcasts, but will occasionally handle radio duties when the Crew is on national television.

The "Crew Soccer Update" will air daily, Monday-Friday, beginning on Monday, March 24, on two of WTVN's FM sister stations, The Brew @ 105.7 and Radio 106.7. Webcasts of all Crew games can also be heard on TheCrew.com.

"We are proud to welcome the Crew to WTVN," said Tom Thon, Clear Channel Regional Vice President. "This flagship station commitment reflects the long-term value of Clear Channel's partnership with the Crew."
