The Columbus Crew and ONN announced Wednesday a broadcast partnership that will ensure that every Crew regular-season game will still be available on television for the second consecutive year. Per terms of the agreement, which returns Crew soccer to the network that aired the club's regional road broadcasts from 2005-07, ONN will broadcast 12 Crew games this season starting with this Saturday's match at Kansas City, live at 8 p.m. (ET). ONN, Ohio's Channel for news, weather, sports and lifestyles programming, becomes the Crew's exclusive regional broadcast partner, effective immediately.
"ONN has continually increased its sports programming over the past few years and has evolved into a sports programming destination for many fans," said Crew VP of Corporate Sales & Broadcasting Chad Schroeder. "This renewed partnership substantially increases our ability to create awareness for our game broadcasts and our brand."
Dwight Burgess, the original "Voice of the Crew," will continue to handle play-by-play duties for all ONN broadcasts, while Bill McDermott and former Crew forward Dante Washington will continue to split lead analyst duties.
