SALT LAKE CITY - Real Salt Lake and XanGo have announced that Comcast will join in the XanGo Cup 2007 festivities next Tuesday, July 24, by presenting the "Comcastic Fireworks Show" at Rice-Eccles Stadium following the second match of Xango Cup 2007 between RSL and Argentine powerhouse Boca Juniors. Kickoff for the RSL-Boca Juniors contest at Rice-Eccles is slated for 8:00 p.m. MT, with the "Comcastic Fireworks Show" slated to start approximately 10 minutes following the final whistle.
"Comcast is excited to support Real Salt Lake and sponsor a great fireworks show," said Dan Williams, Director of Marketing for Comcast-Utah. "We're thrilled to see Real Salt Lake show fans some dazzling soccer as well."
Real Salt Lake's contest against Boca Juniors is just the first in a pair of XanGo Cup 2007 contests across the Pioneer Day weekend--with the action starting this Saturday, July 21, with an exhibition against English Premiership side Everton FC at 8:00 p.m. MT. Both XanGo Cup contests will feature 'Carnival Real', opening at 6:00 p.m., and Utah's biggest and brightest firework shows following the matches. Cyprus Credit Union, Cricket, and KSL 5 TV are also presenting sponsors of XanGo Cup 2007.
