Columbus Crew-FC Dallas quote sheet

FC DALLAS 3, COLUMBUS CREW 2
FC DALLAS HEAD COACH STEVE MORROW

On the game:
"I thought it was a great game of soccer; very entertaining. Credit to my boys again, I've touched on it many times here before -- they never know when they're down. They never know when they're beaten, they keep playing right until the end and we did that again tonight, even with 10 men. I thought it was a great effort. We were a little bit tired in the first half and came out a little bit sleeping. I thought we deserved to be a goal down. It woke us up a little bit. We gave up a bad penalty as well which I was disappointed with. We were definitely gaining momentum in the game and Marcelo [Saragosa] got a red card as well. Nothing but praise and credit for the boys. I thought it was a great comeback. To come back 3-2 with 10 men is just a fantastic effort."

FC DALLAS MIDFIELDER DAX McCARTY

On the season as a whole:
"It's been a rollercoaster for us this year. Coming into a game like that, we're kind of on a roll. We're coming off a pretty tough stretch. We've had some injuries and heavy legs, but this team has so much depth that you know whenever you step on the field you're going to have a team that's going to be able to win. Tonight was no different.

On coming back to win:
"We go down twice but the fighting character of this team is the strongest I've ever been a part of. It just feels great to play with a team like this because you go down a goal, you know you're not out of it. It's a great feeling and I'm just glad we won."

COLUMBUS CREW HEAD COACH SIGI SCHMID

On the game:
"I think at times we played well early on in each half, but after that I thought we made a little bit of a mess of it. Credit Dallas because they put a lot more energy into the game and their defense pushed up and kept things compact for them. We just didn't do a good job of holding on to the ball. We had too many guys that had an off game, but if you're defending for long periods of times, you're going take some shots. We're lucky they didn't score on some earlier goals."

COLUMBUS CREW DEFENDER FRANKIE HEJDUK

On the last-minute goal:
"We just let our guard down a bit and [FC Dallas] came at us, even with a man down. They didn't stop attacking and drop off -- they kept coming at us. They had a great game plan and they came out and executed it. Until the last 20 minutes, we did what we needed to do, but they scored on two crosses and two set pieces and I thought that was the difference."
