Colorado-FC Dallas quote sheet

FC DALLAS 1, COLORADO RAPIDS 0

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH STEVE MORROW

Thoughts on the game:
"I'm very pleased with the one-nil win tonight. I want to give a lot of credit to the boys, we had a lot of tired legs out there. We had three very, very tough games in SuperLiga and we knew and expected there was going to be some kind of hangover from the SuperLiga games because it was a tough stretch for us. So a lot of credit to the boys, to come out with a clean sheet. Colorado threw everything at us as well, had a lot of forwards, a lot of offensive power on the field in the end. I though we played well in the first half and couldn't keep the ball as well in the second half as we wanted to, and that might have eased the pressure on us. But it was a great effort from the boys, did what we had to do, defended well when we had to."

On goalkeeper Ray Burse's first career MLS start:

"A lot of credit to him, he made some great some saves. I can think of three or four very, very good saves to keep us in the game. Yea, might have shown his inexperience at times but nothing but praise for him. He kept us in the game and made some great saves."

FC DALLAS GOALKEEPER RAY BURSE

On his play:

"I think I played decently well. However, I still feel there are still a couple of things I need to work on. It was a great learning tool."

On when he learned he would be making his first MLS start:

"He told me when I came into the locker room around 5:00pm (CT). I prepared as though I was going to play, however I didn't know definitively until today."

COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO

Thoughts on the game:

"It was a tough game. In the second half we created opportunities to score. But its been out history of the games so far this year, we can't score. We had good chances, had good possession in the second half, I thought you could see there was really one team trying to push hard. But you can't win games without scoring goals."

COLORADO FORWARD DANIEL OSORNO

On his MLS debut:

"I'm gaining confidence and rhythm to be able to be able to help my teammates. And unfortunately that we lost 1-0 on my debut, but we have to keep working. The team seems gets there but can't get the goals, but that's how soccer is sometimes. That serves as experience to continue working more."

"I think what's missing is to be mentally prepared, whether playing as visitors or at home we have to work harder for the good of the team and to win. I think that winning one will give the team a lot of confidence to be continue improving in the league."
