Q: What was the best part about training in Buenos Aires, Argentina?

A: The level of competition and the number of games we were able to play was great. The group we worked with that organized the trip was very well connected with the professional clubs in Argentina. We were able to play more games against top teams than we anticipated, and the best way to prove yourself is by playing games.

Q: What was the worst part about training in Buenos Aires, Argentina?

A: The mosquitoes! I believe Kevin Hartman touched on that in his daily dialogue. The first time we stepped out on the field, the number of mosquitoes flying around was ridiculous. We found out real quick it wasn't something that is typical of summers in Argentina - it was very rare. Even the people in Argentina were freaking out a bit. Otherwise, everything went really well.

Q: What was the best thing you are in Argentina?

We all loved "Provoleto," which is basically fried cheese spiced with herbs. We also got our share of meat, which is mostly what they tend to eat down there - steak, steak, and more steak. I enjoy eating meat, but it was a lot of meat, even for me. The nights where we were on our own, we had dinner at 9:30 or 10 at night. Everyone there eats dinner very late, and restaurants weren't open until later in the evening, so that was a bit of an adjustment. I definitely went to bed on a full stomach.

Q: What has been your favorite country to travel to?

A: I have done quite a bit of traveling with soccer, but for some reason, I have traveled mostly to East Asia - China, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong. One of my most memorable trips was traveling to China when I was 16 years old. It was fascinating just seeing an entirely different culture, whether it was how they lived, what they ate and how their country works. When I played with D.C. United we went to Tokyo, Japan, for an exhibition. It is a great city - very fast paced, and it is a "concrete jungle."

Q: If you could be on a reality show, which one would it be?

A: Saturday Night Live. I enjoy the humorous side of things and having a laugh.

Q: Kerry Zavagnin claims he was good at the trumpet in high school. Do you believe him?

A: I bet he would be pretty good at it...but not as good as I am on the saxophone.

Q: So does that mean you look up to former President and saxophonist Bill Clinton?

A: In some ways yes, and in some ways no...that is my cop-out answer.

Q: If you weren't coaching professional soccer, what would you be doing?

A: I'd be acting on the big screen, of course!
