KCWizards.com: First of all, how does it feel to be back in Kansas City and involved with the Wizards organization again? What did you miss about the Kansas City Wizards?

Chris Henderson: It feels great. The memories I have from playing here in 2000 are priceless and it's great to see all the people who were involved then and are still around. It's great to be back with new teammates and friendly faces. I missed the fans and it's just easy living here. Life is stress free.


KCWizards.com: What are the best and worst parts of spring training?

CH: I look forward to when the training and fitness starts with the guys. The worst part of spring training is when players don't make our roster.


KCWizards.com: What was your best soccer moment?

CH: My favorite MLS moment was in 1997, when I was playing for Colorado, and scored a scissor-kick goal against Dallas in the semifinals with three minutes left in the game. We won the game and advanced to the MLS Cup. Another favorite moment was making the World Cup team in 1990.


KCWizards.com: Which country has been your favorite to travel to?

CH: My favorite place I traveled to was Bora Bora. But I also really liked southern France, Spain and Italy. It's tough to choose just one.


KCWizards.com: If you weren't coaching professional soccer, what would you be doing?

CH: I would probably be working in front office management with an MLS team. But I also really enjoy working with charities and foundations and fundraising for philanthropic causes.


KCWizards.com: What is currently on your iPod?

CH: A lot of alternative rock like the Snow Patrol, but also old school alternative like Dave Matthews and David Gray.


KCWizards.com: What is your current TV obsession?

CH: Fox Soccer Channel and the Food Network.


KCWizards.com: What food is your guilty pleasure?

CH: Haagen Dazs ice cream.


KCWizards.com: What makes Kansas City Wizards fans the best in the nation?

CH: They show loyalty to their team, and the way they cheer and support the team is always done in a positive way. Even when things aren't going well, they're still positive and always behind the team 100 percent. The players recognize that and appreciate it.


KCWizards.com: Most people don't know this about me but ...

CH: I bleach my hair every four months and my wife has been cutting my hair for the past 12 years.


KCWizards.com: My favorite memory on the road with a team is ...

CH: When I traveled with the Kansas City Wizards to Bolivia in 2000. The conditions were terrible on the field and during practice we had to chase the cows off the field. But on the bus ride back, the entire team was singing songs and even though it was a tough time and things weren't going right, it was a big bonding trip for the team.


KCWizards.com: My ultimate goal in life is ...

CH: To be a good father and to give my kids every opportunity I had and more.


KCWizards.com: My prediction for the upcoming season is that ...

CH: Our team is going to consistently compete during every single game. As the season moves along, our team will get stronger and I think we will be peaking around the time that the playoffs arrive.
