City Council decrees Dynamo week

The following was read today at Houston City Hall from a proclamation presented by Mayor Bill White and Councilman Adrian Garcia:

The Houston Dynamo continue their remarkable record of success as they prepare to face the New England Revolution on Sunday, November, 18, 2007, in Major League Soccer's Championship Game in Washington, D.C.

The Dynamo, lead by Head Coach Dominic Kinnear, will be going into their second consecutive championship contest as MLS's defending 2006 champions. The Dynamo will attempt to become only the second franchise in the league's 12-year history to successfully defend its title, and Houstonians are encouraged to be loud and proud in their support of the team. The game will be broadcast live at 11 a.m. on ABC-Channel 13.

The City of Houston has witnessed some exceptional soccer during the 2007 season and salutes the 28-member Dynamo team, and coaching staff.

As the team prepares for it's title match, Houstonians are encouraged to wear the Dynamo orange and to join the team in daring to Dream, Scream and Believe in a second consecutive championship.

The City of Houston salutes and commends the Houston Dynamo and their President Oliver Luck on this important occasion, and extends best wishes for a championship winning season.

Therefore, I, Bill White, Mayor of the City of Houston, hereby proclaim the week of November 12 - 18, 2007, as ...

Houston Dynamo Dream, Scream, Believe Week in Houston, Texas....
