Chivas USA Under-19's draw 0-0 with Chivas de Guadalajara's Segunda Division team in third game of six-day Mexico tour

GUADALAJARA, Jalisco, México - Chivas USA's U-19 Team played to a 0-0 draw with the Segunda División side of parent club Chivas de Guadalajara today at Chivas' Verde Valle training center, on Day 3 of the U-19's landmark trip to Guadalajara, the birthplace of Chivas. Head Coach Sacha van der Most's men had several chances in an intense match, which saw two players - defenders Miguel Sánchez of Chivas USA and Francisco Barreto of Guadalajara - red-carded in the second half.

Having lost one and tied two, Chivas USA U-19's, will look to close out their six-day Guadalajara trip with a win tomorrow Friday, when they face the Primera 'A' (second-tier) side of Tecos UAG at the Multigol training center in Zapopan. Following their Guadalajara odyssey, Chivas USA U-19's will return to Los Angeles on Saturday evening.

During the six-day trip, which completes the 2006-07 cycle for players born in 1988 or earlier, the Chivas USA U-19's are facing opponents from all three of Guadalajara's Mexican First Division clubs: sister team Chivas de Guadalajara, Club Atlas and Tecos UAG. The trip comes one year after the squad's successful first international trip to the Copa Saprissa in Costa Rica in May 2006. Per Chivas USA's Youth Development policy, players are selected on merit and all travel and lodging are provided by the club.
