Chivas USA today announced that forward Ante Razov has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his left knee, an injury that could keep MLS's second-leading scorer sidelined up to six weeks.
Razov suffered the injury in the 70th minute of Chivas USA's 0-0 draw at FC Dallas last Thursday night at Pizza Hut Park, while clearing a Denilson free kick inside the penalty area. Razov underwent an MRI exam Friday in Santa Monica, California.
Chivas USA hosts the defending MLS Cup champion Houston Dynamo in its Season Closer next Saturday, Oct. 20 at The Home Depot Center, before going on the road to face an opponent TBA in the first leg of its two-game Western Conference Semifinal Playoff Series the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 27.
