CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, March 3, 2007) - Chivas USA defeated the University of California Santa Barbara 4-2 in a preseason exhibition held this afternoon at The Home Depot Center's University Field 2. Matt Taylor scored a pair of goals for Chivas USA, while Anthony Hamilton and Rodrigo López added one apiece. Honduran National Team captain Amado Guevara made his Chivas USA debut, starting and playing 58 minutes, while setting up Taylor's opening goal.
In other news, the latest installment of 'Sueño MLS', featuring the Final 24, who played today at The Home Depot Center's Main Stadium, will air tomorrow at 12 noon PT (11 a.m. ET) on Univision's 'República Deportiva'. Trialists will announced this Wednesday via SuenoMLS.com. Chivas USA's first team, for its part, will face its next test against an MLS side on Saturday, March 10 when they play the Houston Dynamo at 10:00 a.m. at The Home Depot Center.
