Chivas USA 4, Rapids 1 -- quote sheet

CHIVAS USA 4, COLORADO RAPIDS 1

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH BOB BRADLEY

On the game:
"It's an important step to win two games in a row. Hopefully we can build on it. We have an important game coming up on Thursday against the Galaxy."

On the difference between tonight's and Chivas USA's previous games this season:
"I thought that the most important part of the second half was our ability to put the third and fourth goals on the board. When teams are taking chances and you have opportunities to build on your lead, that is something you have to be able to do. Tonight I thought that was a good part of the second half."

On Thursday's match vs. the Galaxy:
"I think we need to still concentrate on the little things that win games. Today, we had a 2-0 lead and I think our concentration slipped a little bit and we let Colorado back into the game and those are things that we need to try and improve upon."

CHIVAS USA FORWARD JUAN FRANCISCO PALENCIA

On the game:
"I think we played a balanced game. We defended well and we attacked well and that's really what we've been looking for all season long, to play well and in particular to win. Either we played well, but we didn't win, or we won, but we didn't play well. I think today we played a balanced game, we defended, we attacked well, we played well, and we won."

On the first winning streak in Chivas USA history:
"At times, when we were up 2-1, the fans may have thought that we were going to lose the lead again. But the best thing was that we kept fighting, we never lowered our heads and we never gave up. We had never won two consecutive games; I had never scored a goal at The Home Depot Center. So it was a good night on all accounts."

On his personal achievements today:
"Those achievements were important for me, but more so because the team won. Whether you're able to help your team out with assists, and with goals, or running to help the team maintain its balance, as long as we win, I'm happy."

COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO

Impressions of the game:
"We were tired ,you know; three games, seven days and Chivas played the ball well. We tried to come out in the second half and put a little bit of pressure."

On how disheartening the own goal was:
"We are a professional team. We have to turn around and be able to correct ourselves. Everybody's legs were a little bit heavier (and it had a lot to do with the result)."
