Chivas USA 2, Fire 1 -- quote sheet

CHIVAS USA 2, CHICAGO FIRE 1

CHICAGO FIRE HEAD COACH DAVE SARACHAN

Opening comments:
"I'll tell you this: I think a good soccer game was ruined, unfortunately. I thought it was an entertaining game, and I thought Chivas had good stretches. We had good stretches, we pushed the game in the second half, and it was ruined at the end. That's my opinion."

On the controversial calls at the end of the match:
"Critical, I would say. The first one, if it's a penalty, it isn't a penalty because he didn't call it. In the back of his mind, everybody's screaming, they're screaming and that's not how it should work. If it's a penalty, then it's a real penalty. In my opinion, it wasn't. There's probably a make-up call in the end and it's unfortunate because the game was a good soccer game. I thought a draw tonight was a fair result for both teams. Sooner or later the whole shoe will be on our side and I just hope it's sooner than later."

CHICAGO FIRE MIDFIELDER CHRIS ARMAS

On the match:
"It took us a little bit of time to get adjusted to the way they play. They play a unique style, a little different from most teams in the league. They really crowd the middle of the field and they are very mobile and active. You give them time and space and they pick you apart.

"In the second part of the first half, we created a few chances, dodged a few bullets and in the second half, we really made an effort to keep our outside guys wide and move the ball. We tried to attack from the outside. We battled back and get it right away and then there's a penalty at the end. I'm sure the referee saw something, but at the moment it's hard to accept it; you feel that it's a make-up call, but in the end, I didn't have a great look at it, and it hurts to give one up like that in the 90th minute.

"It's a hard-fought game. We might have missed one on Ante [Razov] earlier. That second half was some of the better soccer we've played this year. To not get any points out of it, it's frustrating. It's been a bunch of frustrating games."

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH BOB BRADLEY

On being back in Chicago:
"It's always nice to come back to Chicago. It's especially nice to see Toyota Park. I think for all of us who have been a part of this organization, this new stadium is something to be proud of."

On the penalty kick:
"I think the first [foul] was 100 percent a penalty and I think the second [foul] was not 100 percent."

On the game:
"I thought the first half was one of our best halves of the year. The second half was a little bit more wide open and there were chances both ways. I thought we produced a very good first goal - great finish by 'Loco' (Juan Pablo Garcia). All in all, a good team effort."

On winning on the road:
"It's an important step. From beginning to end we played hard tonight and that's always the key to winning on the road."

CHIVAS USA FORWARD ANTE RAZOV

On the difference between his last years with the Fire and now:
"I think health has a lot to do with it for me. It's been a couple of years since I've been healthy. I know I'm still capable of playing at a high level. I was just trying to contribute tonight and work hard for the team because we knew the Fire was going to come out and play hard."

On the Fire's new stadium:
"It's a nice venue. The fans deserve this kind of setting for a team. There are great fans out here."

On the game:
"I thought we played pretty well. I thought we came out in the first half and played some of our best soccer. We moved the ball up and down. I thought we could have had a PK called in the first half with [Jonathan] Bornstein and the one with me and we get one at the end of the game to give us the win, but I thought we deserved the win."
