Chivas-FC Dallas postgame notes

• With Thursday's 0-0 tie at FC Dallas, Chivas USA (15-6-7, 52 pts) extended its club-record unbeaten streak to 11 games, dating back to a July 29 road loss at Kansas City.

• Chivas USA continues to control its own destiny to claim first place in the Western Conference: a minimum of two points (from two draws) in its remaining two regular season games (Oct. 14 vs. Colorado, & Oct. 20 vs. Houston) will earn Chivas USA first place in the West and thus home-field advantage throughout the Western Conference playoffs.

• Chivas USA FWD Ante Razov, MLS's second-all-time-leading scorer, suffered an apparent left knee injury in the 70th minute of the match while clearing a Denilson free kick inside the penalty area; Razov is expected to undergo an MRI exam Friday in Southern California.

• Thursday's match was Chivas USA's last road contest of the 2007 MLS regular season; this Sunday, Oct. 14 Chivas USA returns to The Home Depot Center to face the Colorado Rapids at 12:00 noon PT (TV: TeleFutura, FSN Prime Ticket; Radio: KTNQ 1020 AM; Pregame shows start @ 11:30 a.m. PT on FSN and KTNQ).

• Chivas USA GK Brad Guzan recorded his club-record 12th shutout of the 2007 season in just his 24th game of the campaign, tying him for second place on the all-time single-season list with Pat Onstad (12 shutouts in 32 games for San Jose in 2005) and four behind all-time MLS single-season shutout leader Tony Meola (16 shutouts in 30 games for the MetroStars in 1997).

• Chivas USA MF Sacha Kljestan remains tied atop the 2007 MLS assists table with New England's Steve Ralston. Both Kljestan and Ralston have 12 assists apiece on the campaign.

• Chivas USA must await a slip-up by league leaders D.C. United in United's next two games (Oct. 13 vs. Chicago & Oct. 20 vs. Columbus Crew) for any chance at winning the Supporters' Shield and thus a berth in the 2008 CONCACAF Champions' Cup.

• Chivas USA closes out its 2007 MLS regular season next Saturday, Oct. 20 on Fan Appreciation Night at The Home Depot Center vs. defending the MLS Cup Champions, Houston Dynamo at 7:30 p.m. PT (TV: Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports en Español; Radio: KTNQ 1020 AM; Pregame shows start @ 7:00 p.m. PT on FSC and KTNQ).

• After arriving at Los Angeles International Airport Friday morning, Chivas USA will train Saturday at 10:00 a.m. PT at The Home Depot Center's Field 4.
