Brown joins UIC coaching staff

Chicago Fire defender and Fire original C.J. Brown has joined the UIC xoccer coaching staff as a volunteer assistant. Brown will serve as a mentor to UIC's soccer players while continuing to play for the Fire, coaching the team at training sessions and games as his Fire schedule allows.


"We're excited for C.J. as he takes a big step towards fulfilling one of his goals," said Fire President/CEO John Guppy." "C.J. is a wonderful professional and being out in the community, helping others and giving back has always been an objective for him. We wish him all the best as the UIC Flames begin their season next month."


Brown also serves as a coach for the Chicago Fire Juniors (Youth Development Program) U-16 Girls Academy.
