Brennan's All-Star Game reaction

Toronto FC Captain Jim Brennan described his All-Star experience as "a night to remember." Brennan came on as a second half substitute as the MLS All-Stars beat West Ham United 3-2 at BMO Field last night.

A BMO Field record attendance of 20,844 created a special atmosphere by the lakeshore and helped make All-Star week in Toronto a resounding success. "It was a great experience," said Brennan. "It was something that I will always remember. Playing in Toronto it was great for me and it was great for the fans. There was a buzz around the place from the start and it was a great atmosphere. The fans were really up for it and to be a part of it was great."

Brennan started the game on the bench, but Toronto's supporters were chanting loudly for him to be brought into the action from as early as the fifth minute. "It was great when they were singing my name. I can't thank them enough for the support they were giving me, and all of their support since I signed for the club. It was very special."

It was Brennan's third game of the week after playing for Toronto in Saturday's 0-0 draw with San Jose Earthquakes, and then the 1-1 tie against Montreal on Tuesday. "It was a long week and it was hard for our fans as well because they've been disappointed the last couple of games, but the fans got up for this game and were excited for it."

Scarborough's Dwayne De Rosario scored the winning goal in the second half, and Brennan felt the All-Stars deserved the win. "It was a great side with the best players in the MLS out there. We played against a Premiership side who are no slouches by any means. They gave us a good game, but we played well and it was exciting for everyone with a lot of good goals scored."

Brennan returned to training with Toronto FC on Friday morning at BMO Field as the Reds prepare for Monday night's game at Real Salt Lake. "Now we've got the league back on again and it's a race for the play offs," he said.
