Bradley named U.S. interim coach

Bob Bradley has been named the interim coach for the U.S. national team.

Gulati said that Bradley is on the final list of candidates that are being considered for the job, and the New Jersey native is going to do his best to make an impression during his time in charge.


"I really can't worry about the conditions," Bradley said. "As a coach, you have your opportunity with your players, to create a good team, to create a good environment and you let the work speak for itself. I'm excited to get going with the group in January."


The U.S. team will report to training camp shortly after the New Year and is set to face Denmark on Jan. 20 at The Home Depot Center in the first game of 2007. A friendly against CONCACAF rival Mexico is also set for Feb. 7.


Chivas USA will begin the search for a new head coach immediately.
