Boettcher promoted to Exec. VP of Operations

FRISCO, Texas (Friday, Jan. 4, 2008) - FC Dallas and Pizza Hut Park General Manager Michael Hitchcock announced today that Damon Boettcher has been promoted from Director of Finance and Administration to the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Operations.


In his new role, Boettcher will oversee the operational side of both FC Dallas and Pizza Hut Park, which includes: the complex and stadium fields, facility maintenance, finance and administration, human resources, business operations (concerts, the Verizon Wireless Club, suites, and team store, etc.), and stadium operations (security, parking, etc).


While Boettcher will report directly to Hitchcock, the third-year General Manager will continue to oversee team administrations and player personnel, the FC Dallas Foundation, and the ticket sales, marketing, sponsorship, communications, broadcasting, soccer business development, and community relations departments.

A native of Iowa, Boettcher graduated from Iowa State with an accounting degree. In January 2000, he was hired as a Senior Accountant on the original staff of the Center Operating Company, which built, owns, and operates the American Airlines Center in downtown Dallas. He then joined the Hunt family in January 2004, working as a Senior Accountant for the Rosewood Corporation, a position he held until April 2005 when heS was hired as the Director of Finance for FC Dallas. Boettcher lives in Frisco with his wife Kayce and sons Landon and Dalton.
