Nick Rimando had an interesting few days last week after he was named as the sudden death target for five watergun-toting competitors in DC101's Water Wars. The Washington Post's Dan Steinberg chronicled much of the three-day happenings on D.C. Sports Bog beginning with this post >

Beginning Wednesday afternoon, United's goalkeeper did his best to stay out of the sight of the five pesty participants as they tracked him to his house, RFK and Velocity Sports Performance.

Josh Gros, Devon McTavish, former United draft pick Shawn Kuykendall and others joined in the fun on Wednesday night, executing a carefully-crafted ploy - involving garbage bags and yelling - to confuse the competitors. At some point that night, Rimando escaped his house and took shelter in one of his many "safe houses," unbeknownst to the super-soaker stalkers.

On Thursday, United's #18 went on the offensive, visiting popular D.C. locations while wearing a red United jersey. He took things a step further later in the afternoon and attacked one of the competitor's night clubs with water balloons.

On Friday, Rimando laid low most of the day, but further taunted the stalkers with this video, He spent most of the day scheming for a fun-filled evening. At 5 p.m. DC101 announced live that its target of two days would not be able to go on the offensive after obtaining a water gun of his own. United's goalkeeper went live on Roche's radio show and told the five competitors to meet him on M Street in Georgetown for a final showdown.
