Behind the Badge: Tour continues

The players on D.C. United's Pacific tour found the time to do a little surfing.

D.C. United players Bobby Boswell, Devon McTavish, Domenic Mediate and Jamil Walker are in the midst of a two-week tour of Pacific military bases with Armed Forces Entertainment. On Wednesday, the players departed Hawaii for their next stop in Guam. They will visit Anderson Air Base there where they will visit with troops and put on soccer clinics.

Earlier this week the group was in Hawaii at the Pearl Harbor Naval Station. The players led a soccer clinic at the base for kids from ages 6-13. The event was such a success with about 75 kids present that the players were asked to hold a second clinic the next day. As part of the clinics, numerous kids received soccer balls from the players. Balls were also donated to Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii. While there, the group also had a chance to relax with some sightseeing, surfing and snorkeling.
