Behind the Badge: Media appearances

Bobby Boswell

On Monday, D.C. United defender Bobby Boswell helped Comcast SportsNet kick off Washington Post Live, the network's new daily sports talk show.

The 2006 MLS Defender of the Year took part in the show's BogTV segment hosted by the Washington Post's Dan Steinberg. The show is a joint project between Comcast SportsNet and the Washington Post and is an interactive roundtable discussion with host Russ Thaler, Post writers and other guests from the sports world, media, entertainment and politics.

Veteran D.C. United midfielder Ben Olsen will be featured on the show this Friday to discuss the team's CONCACAF Champions' Cup success as well as the upcoming MLS season. Olsen is no stranger to the media, and this appearance marks the start of his time with Comcast SportsNet, where he will also host 'D.C. United: Director's Cut,' the network's weekly replay of United games.

Washington Post Live airs from 5-6:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and will be available on both Comcast SportsNet and washingtonpost.com.

On Tuesday, Boswell launched his new personal website, BobbyBoswell.com. The site features blogs from Boswell, video interviews, contests, giveaways and an inside look at the team.

The site will serve as a way for fans and newbies alike to get to know Boswell and his teammates. Currently, fans can read about Boswell's experiences from the Chivas game last Thursday and his recent birthday party.
