MUNICH - Bayern Munich have confirmed Sao Paolo defender Breno will join the club in January.
The 18-year-old signed a four-and-a-half-year contract after successfully passing a medical in the Bavarian city on Thursday.
An undisclosed fee, believed to be at least 10 million euros (£7.15million), has been agreed between the clubs.
"We are delighted to have been able to sign such a young and highly-talented played in Breno," Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the club's official website.
"He is a signing for the future."
Breno will arrive to meet his new team-mates on January 7.
