BARRETT REACHES 200th GAME/MILESTONE FOR DYNAMO CAPTAIN

Dynamo captain Wade Barrett wishes the milestone had come sooner. But he'll take it, at age 31, gladly.

Sunday, after playing in the Dynamo 3-0 win over FC Dallas, Barrett became the 42nd player in MLS history to compete in 200 regular season games.

"I'm sorry it took me until I was 31 to get there, and I really wish I had gotten there a season or two before, but longevity is tough to achieve sometimes," said Barrett. "There is always constant competition for spots and injuries (Barrett played in only three games in the 200 season due to groin surgeries). I'm happy to be in the group of those who have made it this far."

Anyone who knows Barrett, knows there's a different bottom line.

"For me, it's all about winning today and on the weekends, and preparing for the playoffs. I'm happy for all of those things today.
