Autographed Ronaldinho jersey on auction this Saturday at the '100-Hour Soccer Game' in Bell Gardens

  • CARSON, Calif. - A Barcelona jersey, number 10, autographed by Ronaldinho will be auctioned off tomorrow as part of the festivities at the 100-Hour Soccer Game, presented by Omnilife and the Disneyland Resort, at the Bell Gardens Sports Center at 8000 Park Lane in Bell Gardens, California, 90201. Rafael Brito Hernández, "El Alcalde" (The Mayor) of Univisión Radio, made the first bid of 1000 dollars, which was bested by Pedro Aceituno, the Mayor of Bell Gardens, who offered 1,100 dollars. The bidding now rests at 1,300 dollars, offered by Vicente Ortiz, of the restaurant Tacos Don Chente. All of the money raised in the auction will go to Chivas' charitable foundation, "Fundación Chivas de Corazon USA ."


    The bidding for the Ronaldinho jersey will end this Saturday, August 12, at 6:00 p.m. Other items up for auction, including a Chivas de Guadalajara shirt autographed by the team, an Club América jersey also autographed by its team, as well as two tickets to travel to see the "Clasico de Clasicos" of Mexican soccer, the league match between Chivas and América.


    The ChivaGirls will make their appearance in the 100-Hour Soccer game this Friday, August 11, at 8:00 p.m. The beautiful Chivas USA ambassadors will be present starting at 7:00 to sign autographs.


    The 100-Hour Soccer Game, which is celebrating the Centenary of Club Deportivo Guadalajara, began this Wednesday, August 9, at 1:00 p.m., and just after the halfway point the score stood at Chivas 229, Rest of the World 228.
