Aldine United, Dynamo announce partnership

HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Dynamo are pleased to welcome Aldine United Soccer Club into the "Student of the Game" partner family.

"Aldine United exemplifies everything we look for in our partner clubs", said Dynamo President & General Manager Oliver Luck. "Aldine United is definitely committed to the youth players and their families of which is the premise of the Student of the Game program, and we are excited to work with this club," said Luck.

"We are extremely excited to begin our partnership with the Houston Dynamo. This will be the beginning of a great relationship going forward and will open even more avenues for our kids to improve their knowledge of the game and what it means to be an athlete," said George Cerda Aldine United President.

The Dynamo Student of the Game program was established in an effort to provide South Texas Youth Soccer leagues with an education-based curriculum that will further enhance youth players, coaches and parents' soccer knowledge and appreciation for the game. The Dynamo program motivates and educates by providing partner leagues with exclusive access to the Dynamo coaches and players through coaching clinics and appearances, among other benefits.

"In addition, this partnership will benefit the entire Aldine community through developing a strong relationship with our local professional soccer team, the Houston Dynamo." "Also this will be a point of pride for the club, the community, the kids and their families looking forward for the future of Aldine United and the Houston Dynamo," said Ruben Mares Aldine United Vice President.

"We have worked closely with many coaches in this organization since our inception and have been very impressed by the quality of coaching and the abilities of their players. We are proud to continue to work with this organization and pleased they have agreed to become a partner in our Student of the Game program." "There remains' several other youth soccer organizations in the area who are considering the Student of the Game program. Due to the high volume of deliverables provided by the Dynamo, we are limiting the number of partners to just twenty." said Dynamo, Sr. VP Sales and Marketing, Steven N. Powell.

The Student of the Game program is designed to provide youth soccer clubs in the Houston metropolitan area with a series of educational, motivational and inspirational benefits to assist players but also coaches and parents. The recruitment and retention of parent volunteers remains a challenge for most youth soccer organizations. The "Student of the Game" program provides clubs with various tools aimed at assisting in this area. One aspect of the program is a special Club-Night-Out at Robertson Stadium for a Dynamo home game. The purpose of this outing is to give youth players the opportunity to watch a game live, learn from professionals and provide parents an opportunity to meet each other in a social setting. The "Club Night Out" is the ultimate team-building event that will allow registered soccer players from Aldine United Soccer Club an opportunity to attend up to three Dynamo regular season games at Robertson Stadium during the 2007 MLS regular season.
