Agent: Diarra could move from Real to Inter

Mahamadou Diarra

MADRID - Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra could be set for a move to Internazionale at the end of the season, according to the player's agent.

Frederic Guerra revealed on Friday that the Serie A giants tried to sign the 26-year-old in January but were rebuffed by Real, for whom Diarra has made over 60 appearances since joining from Lyon.

But, according to Guerra, the Spanish champions could agree to sell Diarra at the end of the campaign, with Liverpool and AC Milan among the clubs also keeping a close eye on the Mali international.

"Various Inter bosses have called me and I already know at first hand that they are very interested in the deal," Guerra told Tutto Sport.

"In January they didn't have enough of their budget to finalise the signing, but we're working on it and there's the possibility that the transfer could happen in June.

"Madrid didn't want to negotiate in January but we know that the story can change in June.

"Milan, Liverpool and Juventus also called us but the team who are the most interested is Inter.

"Diarra still has three more years of his contract to go, but we will listen to all the offers and then we will talk to Real Madrid and see what they decide.

"The player will be the one to decide but it won't be easy because Real Madrid will ask for 25 or 30 million."

Diarra signed a contract until 2011 when Real bought him for 27 million euros in the summer of 2006.
