2007 FC Dallas Tournament Series has first two participants

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas today announced the first two area soccer tournaments to partner with the team in the 2007 FC Dallas Tournament Series. The NFWASA Fossilfest Tournament and Carey Girls Tournament, which will both take place May, became the first two of a total of five tournament that will form the 2007 FC Dallas Tournament program.


Local soccer tournaments that join the FC Dallas Tournament Series receive exclusive elements, including: FC Dallas player appearances; FC Dallas give-away items, onsite interactive inflatables, recognition for tournament winners at an FC Dallas game, FCD marketing and promotional collateral, and tickets to a future FC Dallas game.


NFWASA Fossilfest Tournament
May 11-13 (North Fort Worth Soccer Alliance)


The Fossilfest tournament, entering its seventh year, is a recreational soccer tournament, hosting both boys and girls teams ranging from Under-5 to Under-14 years old. The North Fort Worth Soccer Alliance has been in place for more than 25 years and is located on the North boundaries of Forth Worth and play in the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League. Carey Girls Tournament
May 18-20 (Greater Lewisville Area Soccer Association)


The Carey Girls tournament is one of the area's few girls-only tournaments, providing an excellent opportunity for local girl's soccer teams to take part in an exciting weekend. The tournament, entering their 10th season, will take place at the Bob Wiseman Soccer Complex in Lewisville and the Gerault Sports Complex in Flower Mound. Preliminary games will takes place on the evenings of Fri. May 18 and Sat. May 19, with semi-finals and finals taking place on Sun. May 20.
