Wizards host New England Saturday, followed by women's professional football game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Wizards will take on the unbeaten New England Revolution this Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. CT. The Wizards will put their current nine-game home-unbeaten streak (12 games including postseason and U.S. Open Cup) on the line against the Revs, who are unbeaten in their first ten games of the 2005 season (6-0-4).

The Wizards welcome back midfielder Kerry Zavagnin and forward Josh Wolff, who have missed the last four matches while with the U.S. National Team for a pair of World Cup Qualifiers. The duo will rejoin a Wizards squad that currently ranks second in the League in scoring with 20 goals in 11 games. Just five points behind the first place Revs in the standings, Kansas City will look to climb within one game of the top of the Eastern Conference this weekend.

Following this Saturday's match, Arrowhead Stadium will play host to the first ever Women's Professional Football game at Arrowhead when the Independent Women's Football League's Kansas City Storm and Detroit Predators face off in their regular season game. The Women's football game will kickoff after the Wizards match and following some brief field preparation.
