Kansas City Returns Home for Mid-Week Contest Against New England Revolution
The Kansas City Wizards return home to Arrowhead Stadium to host the New England Revolution on Wednesday, June 2nd at 7:30 p.m. CT. The match marks the second of five games over a grueling 14-day stretch for the Wizards and will be their only home contest during the month of June. The Revolution enter Wednesday's match with a 1-4-3 mark and sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, while the Wizards sit in third place in the West with 11 points. The first 10,000 fans at Arrowhead will receive a Blue Ribbon Restaurant Discount Card, compliments of Sysco.

New England has been injury riddled so far this season in all areas of the field. Forward Joe-Max Moore has been sidelined since late April with an MCL injury, defender Rusty Pierce is expected to be out through the end of June with a right quad injury and defender Carlos Llamosa has yet to appear in a game this season after suffering a right knee sprain. First choice goalkeeper Adin Brown has also missed the last three games with a groin strain. As if they were not already banged up enough, this past weekend, forward Taylor Twellman came off in the 70th minute against D.C. United after suffering a hamstring injury and his status for Wednesday's match is in doubt.

Twellman, the team's leading scorer the past two seasons with a combined 38 goals, has struggled this season scoring just one goal in eight games this season. Pat Noonan currently leads the team in scoring with just two goals and one assist for five points. One bright spot for the Revs has been the play of rookie Clint Dempsey. Dempsey has appeared in all eight games, including seven starts. He scored his first MLS goal against the MetroStars on April 25th and has played primarily in the midfield, but could see time as a forward if Taylor Twellman is not fit for Wednesday.

After a disappointing road loss this weekend, the Wizards return home where they are unbeaten in their last eight matches (6-0-2) dating back to September of 2003. In five home games this season, the Wizards have surrendered just two goals (both against Chicago on May 8th) and have picked up four shutouts. As the only MLS game on Wednesday, the Wizards will look to overtake San Jose (3-3-3, 12 points) in the Western Conference standings and gain ground on first place Los Angeles (5-2-3, 18 points).

"Celebrate America" at Arrowhead on July 3rd
Come "Celebrate America" with the Wizards as they host the Dallas Burn on Saturday, July 3rd at Arrowhead Stadium. The match will kickoff 7:30 p.m. CT and will be followed by Kansas City's largest Independence Day weekend fireworks display set to music. Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 816-931-3330 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Klein Closing in on Second Place on Wizards Scoring Charts
Wizards midfielder Chris Klein is closing in on second place on the Wizards all-time scoring charts after scoring his 30th career MLS goal on May 8th against the Chicago Fire. He now has 88 career points in a Wizards uniform, just two points shy of Mo Johnston with 90 points. Klein's 30 goals are also one shy of Johnston's total of 31 career goals, the second most in franchise history trailing Preki's 69 career goals and 234 career points in a Wizards jersey.
