GALAXY AND REVOLUTION CLASH ON THE FOURTH OF JULY AT THE HOME DEPOT CENTER: Two of the premier teams in Major League Soccer will meet on the grandest stage for the sport in the United States when the Los Angeles Galaxy hosts the New England Revolution on Monday, July 4 at 7 pm at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills. The match has all the makings of an epic battle on our nation's birthday - the first-placed Revs representing the entire Eastern Conference and the second-placed Galaxy carrying the weight of the Western Conference on their shoulders for this clash between the best MLS has to offer. In addition, the game should feature the first-ever meeting between the two club's starting goalkeepers Kevin Hartman and Matt Reis, who were Galaxy teammates for four seasons before Reis was traded to the Revs prior to the 2003 campaign.

In honor of our nation's independence day, fans will be treated to a majestic post-game fireworks spectacular (presented by The Daily Breeze and KBIG 104), with Rialto-based Pyro Spectaculars responsible for the production. It's an evening anyone in attendance will not soon forget. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call the Galaxy at 1-877-3GALAXY.

For those unable to make it to The Home Depot Center to share in the festivities, it will carried live on the radio in both English (KMPC 1540 am) and Spanish (KMXE 830 am) and televised live on FSN West 2.

A QUICK LOOK AT THE ALL-TIME HISTORY BETWEEN THE GALAXY AND THE REVS: The Galaxy and the Revolution have a history that dates back to the start of Major League Soccer in 1996. The clubs have met a total of 21 times over the first nine-plus seasons of League history, with the Galaxy winning 12 of them, the Revolution seven and two of them ending in a tie. In the last five meetings, the Galaxy have won two, the Revs two and one has ended in a tie - a 2-2 draw at The Home Depot Center on July 4, 2003.
