LOS ANGLES GALAXY TRAIN IN HAWAII THIS WEEK TO PREPARE FOR INAUGURAL ALOHA CUP:
The Los Angeles Galaxy have left rainy Southern California behind for a week of training in Hawaii. The club flew to the 50th state in the union on Sunday and the players and coaches have already begun final preparations for the inaugural Aloha Soccer Cup. The game, to be played this Saturday, February 26 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, will pit the Galaxy against defending MLS Cup Champions D.C. United. CLUB WILL SQUARE OFF WITH PORTLAND TIMBERS IN EXHIBITION IN PORTLAND ON APRIL 13:
The Galaxy will make a trip to the Pacific Northwest in mid-April to meet the Portland Timbers (USL First Division) in an exhibition match. The game slated, for 7 pm on Wednesday, April 13 at PGE Park, will be the second-ever meeting between the teams; with the first one won by the Timbers in 2002. It also marks the return to Portland of former Timbers forward Alan Gordon, the reigning A-League (now USL First Division) Rookie of the Year who signed with the Galaxy during the off-season after concluding the 2004 MLS season with them. MÁS GALAXY RETURNS TO THE AIRWAVES NEXT MONTH ON KMXE:
Más Galaxy, the club's Spanish-Language radio talk show, which aired each Wednesday during the 2004 season at 8 pm on KMXE 830 AM, will return to the air on March 2. The program, hosted by Troy Santiago, the Spanish-language voice of the Galaxy, will feature an in-depth review of 2004 season and the off-season as well as a comprehensive preview of the club's 2005 campaign. Remember Galaxy fans, for the latest news on your favorite team, tune in every Wednesday night to Más Galaxy, only on KMXE 830 AM.
"BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE" AVAILABLE FOR GALAXY'S FIRST TWO HOME GAMES:
The Los Angeles Galaxy are pleased to once again offer fans "The Best Seats in the House" at The Home Depot Center. For the Galaxy's first two home games in 2005 (April 9 vs. Real Salt Lake and April 23 vs. CD Chivas USA), the club will be selling 100 seats along one touchline on a first-come, first-served basis. Each ticket costs $150 and includes a Decade of Stars t-shirt and the actual chair the fan sits in.
