Wizards to Host Western Conference Final on Friday, November 5th
The Kansas City Wizards overcame nearly improbable odds on Saturday night to defeat the defending MLS Cup Champion San Jose Earthquakes 3-0, erasing a two-goal deficit they faced after losing Game 1 of the series 2-0 in San Jose. The 3-2 aggregate goal win by the #1 seeded Wizards earned them the right to host the Western Conference Final at Arrowhead on Friday, November 5th at 7:30 p.m. CT. The Wizards will host the Los Angeles Galaxy, who reached the final after a 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids last weekend, winning the aggregate goal series 2-1.
The Wizards and Galaxy have met in the postseason on three previous occasions, most notably in 2000 when the Wizards defeated the Galaxy in a series tiebreaker at Arrowhead on October 6, 2000 to advance to their first ever MLS Cup Final. The Wizards forced the series tiebreaker by winning Game 3 of the series. Forward Miklos Molnar scored the game-winner six minutes into the extra period, knocking the Galaxy out of the playoffs and propelling the Wizards to their first MLS Cup Final, which they went on to win by defeating the Chicago Fire 1-0.
The Wizards enter Friday's match riding a remarkable eight-game unbeaten streak at home in the postseason (7-0-1). In their last eight home playoff games, the Wizards have outscored their opponents 18-3, including a 14-1 margin in their last six games.
Los Angeles comes into Kansas City as the #2 seed in the West. Kansas City won the season series with the Galaxy this year, going 2-0-2 and outscoring them 6-4. Los Angeles finished the 2004 regular season with an 11-9-10 record (43 points), but struggled on the road, going 3-7-5 away from The Home Depot Center. Over the last two seasons, the Galaxy is 3-18-11 on the road, including the postseason.

The Kansas City Wizards announced today that all seats, including Lower Level Sideline, Endline and Club Level, for the Western Conference Final at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday, November 5th will be just $5. The Wizards will host their rivals, the Los Angeles Galaxy in the Western Conference Final on Friday, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT. All tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster by calling 816-931-3330 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
In addition to Ticketmaster, tickets can also be purchased at the Arrowhead Box Office, which is located at Gate D1 of the stadium and is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. through halftime of the game. All seats in the stadium will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All sideline and club level tickets will be issued as reserved seating at the time of purchase and all endline tickets will be general admission.

Jewsbury Visits 2nd Grade Students at Prairie Ridge Elementary School
Wizards midfielder Jack Jewsbury will make an appearance at a pizza party hosted by Bank of Blue Valley for second grade students at Prairie Ridge Elementary School on Monday, November 1st. Garcia Talks Community Service at Morse Elementary School Wizards defender Nick Garcia will make a special appearance at Morse Elementary School on Tuesday, November 2nd from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Garcia's will attend a party for the top class that raised the most money for United Way. After the class celebration Garcia will take a few minutes to talk to the entire school about the importance of giving back to the community.
